The Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce, Des Plaines Park District, Des Plaines Historical Society, and the Des Plaines Public Library are joining together to create a full day of activities for you and your family so you can enjoy a safe and fun day for Halloween.
The festivities begin with a costumed parade. Parade will be led by "Kiwi the Clown" beginning at 10:00 a.m.
The Chamber will provide a trick or treat bag with a fun prize inside and then after the parade they will have a chance to "trick or treat"
at the chamber participating businesses throughout Des Plaines.
Other Family activities are planned for the day as follows:
Day of the Dead - 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The annual Dia de los Muertos sugar skull painting at the
History Center, 781 Pearson
$3.00 for non-members, $2.00 for members.
Pumpkin Races - Noon- 3:00 p.m.
Des Plaines Optimist Club hosts their annual race at the Kinder House.
